Maersk Line, the world's largest container shipping company, announced an increase in tariffs for the Far East to North America route effective
August 1. The company revised its General Rate Increase (GRI) for this route, increasing rates by USD 480/600/700/750 per 20'/40'/40' high
cube/45' high cube dry. This increase was applicable for shipments from Asia to North America.
Similarly, CMA CGM Group, another major player in the maritime shipping industry, announced tariff increases effective August 1. The company
adjusted its tariffs for shipments from Asia to Syria, increasing the General Rate Increase (GRR) by EUR 850 per TEU. This increase was applicable
for all cargo destined for Syria.
